Ruby on Rails Engineer

This will start as a part-time/project-based role which may grow into a full-time situation.

What you’ll be working on

• Building and maintaining backend services and APIs using Ruby on Rails and associated technologies
• Integrating with NoSQL databases like Redis and DynamoDB
• Developing cloud infrastructure on AWS using services like ECS, ELB, CloudFormation, Lambda
• Implementing continuous integration and deployment pipelines

Responsibilities

• Write clean, well-tested code and implement solutions according to specifications
• Configure and manage cloud resources and services for optimal performance and scalability
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to deliver features according to project requirements
• Perform debugging, optimization and maintenance of existing systems

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building web applications with Ruby on Rails
• Hands-on experience with AWS and devops tools like Docker, Jenkins, Git
• Understanding of database modeling, APIs, and cloud architecture patterns
• Passion for writing high-quality, well-tested code and delivering business value
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
