The Revenue Analyst assist and works directly with the Director of Revenue to maximize hotel revenue through daily management of room inventory and pricing across all segments. In this role you will help develop and recommend room rates and availability strategies to optimize the best mix of business through multiple distribution channels. In addition, this position will be responsible for driving analysis, compiling reports and developing models to support better decisions across the Resort

 

As a Revenue Analyst , we rely on you to,

 

  • Collect and organize business Intelligence as per the defined processes using the available BI tools and systems for collecting statistical and competitive data
  • Gather market data  and other information for the Director of Revenue.
  • Analysis of information for creating and driving fact-based business decisions and strategies
  • Support forecasting process by collating all required data.
  • Assists S&M with the account diagnostics process and validate conclusions.
  • Checks distribution channels for hotel positioning, information accuracy, and competitor positioning.
  • Create a daily forecast for all segments including room nights, ATR, and revenue on a weekly basis for the following week/weeks based on history, seasonality, special events, business on the books, pick-up trend, the average length of stay, stay/cancellation/no-show pattern and lead time.
  • Drive the execution of the revenue optimization strategy.
  • Implement inventory management and pricing decisions across all channels.
  • Manage and ensure optimum configuration across all online channels in coordination with reservations.
  • Ensures compliance with Best Rate Guarantee and rate integrity.
  • Drives the process to optimize production across all distribution channels keeping in mind cost, guest loyalty, and seamless connectivity.

 

Skill Sets and Competencies

 

  • Knowledge of revenue management concepts, processes, and strategies such as average daily rate, revenue per available room, sales cycles and trends, account management, pricing, and inventory management. Skill in using a Yield Management system and interpreting pricing and inventory reports
  • The ability to analyze and summarize detailed data to make inferences and recommendations
  • Skill in collecting information from a variety of sources relating to market data, historical cycles, travel and tourism trends, and real estate market dynamics. The ability to know when to seek additional information and where to look to find it.
  • Previous experience in BI tools, distribution, and inventory optimization.
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in office and online tools and systems required for the function.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with additional languages (especially those relevant to hotel location) preferred.

 

 

What we are Looking For:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in hotel property management systems and 5 years in revenue optimization.
  • Strong Excel, Powerpoint and Data analytic skills.
  • Knowledge of hospitality sales, marketing, and other revenue management functions including research, planning, market positioning, market segments, internal marketing, distribution channels, sales management, reservations, and yield management.
  • College degree (Bachelor) in business, economics, marketing, or strategy.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with additional languages (especially those relevant to hotel location)
