Job Overview

At Weatherford, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Repair & Maintenance Technician to join our team. This crucial role is responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of our business unit, contributing to strategic planning, and fostering strong relationships with our workforce and clients. The successful candidate will play a vital role in addressing tooling requirements, sourcing when necessary, and participating in business development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Attend product line-specific training sessions and complete assigned computer-based training as per the predetermined Learning Plan.
  • Assemble, disassemble, and prepare rental equipment according to work instructions.
  • Assemble liner systems and perform tool preparation and testing.
  • Identify and utilize all measurement equipment as per calibration log and work instructions.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Liner Systems products, services, and the ability to correctly identify all tools and components.
  • Recommend measures to enhance methods, performance, and quality to increase efficiency.
  • Assist in the shop, make deliveries, and attend all required safety training.
  • Be available for 24-hour on-call duty.
  • Understand and comply with Weatherford’s Quality Policy, Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures, and Workplace Instructions.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
  • Perform work assignments to the highest quality standards.
  • Be willing to travel for extended periods as required.
  • Carry out various other duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Skills

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and self-motivated with a commitment to service quality
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Physical ability to respond immediately to emergency situations
  • Valid forklift and overhead crane certifications

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Liner Systems. Preference will be given to candidates with a mechanical or petroleum diploma after high school.
