Purpose of the Role

Partnering with the President, Saudi Arabia, and the entire management team, the Regional Finance Leader (RFL) will be a critical driver of performance and the advancement and execution of strategic objectives for the growing Saudi Arabia Region. The RFL will help deliver value and growth with a continuous focus on improving profitability, creating efficiencies, and mitigating risk for the business. The RFL will instill a continuous focus on sustainable business process improvements while better connecting the components of the value chain to improve decision making.

As part of the executive leadership team, the RFL will be an active contributor to the development of business strategy and will play a leading role in the development of financial analytics and operating performance measures that support profitable operations, growth, new business opportunities and investment strategies. He/she/they will develop the capabilities of the finance team to better support the business through growth and / or transformation. The RFL will also ensure the ongoing development and management of financial systems and controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a business partner / COO and strategic adviser to the President and to other members of the leadership team. Provide analytical insight and perspective to critical business matters to drive profitable growth with strong focus on commercial finance.
  • Contribute actively to the evolution and execution of strategic business plans, organic growth, and business development strategies across the portfolio.
  • Partner with the President, Saudi Arabia to monitor and manage operating units including operating reviews, budget and forecast reviews and other commercial finance duties as required.
  • Take ownership of the MOS for measuring performance in terms of revenue, profitability, functional spend, accounts receivable/past dues, backlog & orders and commercial finance KPIs.
  • Lead management reporting, financial planning, and budgeting processes within the region.
  • Manage the strategic and annual planning process for the Saudi Arabia business, working with leadership to ensure quality of strategic plans and alignment with business priorities and competitive environment.
  • Lead efforts to drive analytical rigor of the local team so that business decisions throughout the organization are informed by analytical insight while improving the organization’s ability to leverage and manage data. Develop standardized data sets for business measurement, business planning, performance management and reporting.
  • Prepare presentations as requested by the President or other members of the leadership team (including monthly MORs, AOP / STRAP reviews, regional business reviews, profitability analysis, ad-hoc requests, etc.).
  • Own digital finance & finance transformation initiatives, and drive adoption across the region.
  • Use available data to improve business decision efficiency and forecasting accuracy.
  • Manage cross-functional projects (including process improvement initiatives) by setting objectives, deliverables, and milestones; reaching consensus among leadership; ensuring projects deliver their intended results and providing regular updates to management.
  • Actively collaborate with operating business unit heads and their teams to drive growth and value creation.
  • Work closely with commercial finance teams on routine and ad-hoc requests and ensure Reporting MOS is followed across the region.
  • Ensure the propriety of internal controls are consistent with Honeywell Finance Policy, implement compliance with internal audit recommendations and company internal control requirements, working with external auditors as needed.
  • Partner with key finance functions such as Tax, Controller and Treasury.
  • Support Middle East and Africa Region financial analysis and management reporting as required.
  • Geographic Scope and Travel Requirements: Up to 15% travel across the region.

We Value:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or relevant fields.
  • An MBA, CA(SA), CIMA or other similar advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 (twelve) years of experience within the Finance function, mainly management reporting, commercial finance and Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • MNC Background preferred.
  • Must possess a combination of strong technical knowledge and business acumen, with a high level of commercial astuteness and experience.
  • Executive presence and communication skills to engage with customers at an executive level.
  • Experience managing strategic initiatives and deliverables, timelines, and resources, while working effectively across functions and cultures.
  • Ability to build relations across a spectrum of stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Strong analytical and problems solving skills. High level of influencing skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver in complex situations. Demonstrated capability of managing multiple, concurrent tasks.
  • Relevant experience gained in a global industrial corporation, working within a business-to-business model are important, as is knowledge of commercial finance. Ability to operate in an international, highly matrix organization.
  • Excellent level of written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is a must, knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
