  • Monitors high priority work orders, Not Mission Capable Supply (NMCS) and Not Mission Capable Maintenance (NMCM) time and work orders over 30 days old to formulate appropriate recommended action.
  • Reviews high priority work orders and work orders over 30 days old to identify causes of delays including repair parts supply status.
  • Coordinates Field Maintenance Support (FMS) departments maintenance requirements with field-level maintenance and limit sustainment-level maintenance direct capabilities within designated priorities
  • Gather Departments data for submitting weekly, monthly, yearly Contract Deliverables Requirements List (CDRL) reports. Monitors various Maintenance Information Management System (MIMS) files and reports to analyze causes of delays or stoppages.
  • Maintains close contact with support unit maintenance personnel and coordinates unit requirements and direct support/general support capabilities within designated priorities.
  • Expedites parts when required.
  • Makes recommendations to Maintenance Manager on corrective action required.
  • Attends department maintenance meetings with and/or for Maintenance Director.
  • Provides status of unit job orders to unit maintenance officers and advises unit commanders on Field support/sustainment support procedures.
  • Must have GCSS-A certification.
  • Performs other Job Duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
    • High School graduate or equivalent.
    • Formal military or civilian training in equipment maintenance procedures preferred.
    • Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • GCSS-A Certification desired. If no certification, must successfully complete web base or in-person training courses within 90 days of assuming the position.
  • Experience:
    • Two years’ experience in equipment maintenance and supply or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent organization and communications skills, both written and verbal, are required.
    • Must be computer literate in all aspects of Microsoft office.
    • Knowledge of Government information systems (GIS) is an advantage.
  • Working Conditions:
    • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather condition with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
    • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
    • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
    • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
