Responsible for complete inspection of stators, rotors, first article inspection, review material test certificates, carry out in-process audit, receiving inspection, document non-conformance of in-house and supplier products and shipments, perform calibration and control of gauges, training and coaching of operators, ensure quality management system and QA procedures and policies are aligned with the organization. Assist with root cause analysis and process improvements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize and schedule workflow through inspection of products in the facility.
  • Monitor, review and update related QMS and procedure specifications.
  • Evaluate drawings, specifications, procedures using engineering portals.
  • Review engineering change notices for applicable procedure changes in the facility and assist in training, documenting and implementing revised procedures.
  • Monitor, review and update calibration status of all measuring instruments and gauges.
  • Perform receiving inspection of raw materials of stators and rotors.
  • Carry out stator & rotor final inspection and manage required inspection documents.
  • Carry out CMM inspection and API thread inspection.
  • Prepare, generate and share COCs and related documents.
  • Perform and document in process and vendor audits.
  • Assist in maintaining quality observations, CARs, CAPAs and investigations and problem-solving tools.
  • Assist in reviewing and meeting local and global objectives & targets.
  • Ensure compliance to NOV policies, procedures, HSE requirements and code of conduct.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Diploma or BE plus 3 minimum years’ experience in Engineering Industry
  • Must be able to communicate in English and able to take and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Know and be able to use precision measuring instruments used by the inspection department. Be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Have a mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination.
  • Must work independently.

Essential

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-5 years’ experience in process and product inspection.
  • Experience in machining downhole tools, knowledge in inspecting API and other threading, proficiency in gage calibration, and Gage inventory management.

Desirable

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering.
  • Experience in visual or borescope inspection of product.
  • Experience in using root cause analysis tools.
  • JDE experience.
  • MS Office.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • 3-5 Years of Experience in similar industry.
