KEY RESULT AREAS:

  • Purchase or contract for supplies, services and equipment required by any using agency, within the limits of the current budget, and in accordance with purchasing procedures defined by the company.
  • Negotiate and recommend execution of contracts for the purchase of supplies, services and equipment
  • Act to procure for the company the needed quality in supplies, services and equipment at least expense to the company
  • Assisting purchasing manager on daily tasks and creating weekly, monthly and annual reports.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  1. At least 2 years relevant experience
  2. Knowledge of goods import rules
  3. Local market knowledge
  4. Cost saving skills
  5. Negotiation skill
  6. Team management skills
  7. Time saving skills
  8. Pressure handling

KEY COMPETENCIES:

 

  • Negotiating and agreeing contracts and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of service provided
  • Processing payments and invoices
  • Keeping contract files and using them as reference for the future
  • Producing reports and statistics using computer software
  • Ensuring suppliers are aware of business objectives
  • Attending meetings and trade conferences
