ENOWA aims to establish itself as the world’s most advanced renewable energy hub and the first large-scale fully renewable energy system. The energy sector’s primary goals include:

ENOWA plans to utilize various technologies, including large-scale solar PV, wind power, pump hydro-station, geothermal energy, and clean-fuel gas turbines – as an integrated decentralized solution to meet the increased electricity demands due to a high degree of electrification. 

The candidate will work on projects involving these technologies and various execution strategies, with construction starting in August 2024 and continuing through 2030.

Expectations

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing project implementation, including but not limited to the planning, execution, scheduling, resource allocation and project accounting.  This role involves coordinating resources, managing timelines, and ensuring project delivery within design specifications, scope, budget, and quality standards.

Approaches

  • The resource will develop detailed project plans, including but not limited to schedules, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation tables.
  • The resource Manager will lead project teams, coordinating with engineers, contractors/subcontractors, HSE and control functions, procurement functions, relevant authorities and other internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • The resource will manage the resolution of any day-to-day problems that occur within the project, in coordination with the relevant functions, escalating as appropriate when required.
  • The resource will oversee the procurement of materials and management of equipment for the project, in coordination with the relevant procurement functions.
  • The resource will monitor and report (both regularly and ad-hoc) on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks in coordination with control functions, and resolving issues.
  • The resource will oversee and enforce compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, in coordination with the respective HSE and quality functions, conducting regular site visits and inspections throughout project implementation.
  • The resource will communicate project status to senior management and stakeholders through regular meetings.

  • Timely and efficient setup of project plans, project milestones/schedules, budgets
  • Effective management and optimization of project costs, timelines and resources, within the allocated budget.
  • Delivery of project activities and deliverables meeting quality standards, regulatory standards and design specifications.
  • Positive feedback from project internal and external stakeholders regarding communication, collaboration, and project outcomes.
  • Effective enforcement and compliance with HSE regulations and achievement of safety targets, in coordination with the HSE functions.
  • Successful management of project risks in coordination with the control and risk management functions.
  • Effective management of procurement timelines and of the overall management of material and equipment, in coordination with procurement and site-based functions.
  • Effective management of team dynamics and site challenges.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Civil or Energy Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; PMP certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in project and construction management, with substantial experience in managing large-scale infrastructure or energy projects from start to finish.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and construction management software (e.g. Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud) is an advantage.

    • Technical Optioneering,
    • Stakeholder Identification, Strategy & Management,
    • Schedule and Cost Analysis,
    • Supply Chain and Logistics Analysis and Development,
    • Permitting and Licensing,
    • HSE and Risk Management,
    • Contracting and Procurement Strategies,
    • Commercial Modelling.
  • Familiarity with the NEOM Plan of Work and supporting NEOM processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Project Development Classification Guidelines such as AACE to define project development definition.
