Project Coordinator

The project coordinator plays a crucial role in managing general cargo and project shipments, ensuring operational and commercial aspects are effectively controlled. they serve as a primary point of contact for clients and partners, coordinating logistics operations and supporting business activities in a global environment.

 

Key responsibilities:

handle and manage general cargo and project shipments, including operational and cost control aspects.

Serve as a point of contact for clients, partners, and other offices for project operations-related issues.

Coordinate shipping of various cargo types globally, including out-of-gauge and heavy lift cargo.

Negotiate with subcontractors and source competitive rates for project requirements.

Calculate and monitor project profitability, supporting sales team in proposal development.

Provide administrative support and assist in daily business activities in a global context.

Support management in reporting and other operational tasks.

 

Qualifications:

completed training in freight forwarding or relevant field.

Work experience in the freight forwarding industry.

Proven track record of successfully executing logistics operations and coordination.

Familiarity with freight forwarding, with experience in ocean freight being advantageous.

Familiarity with software packages like microsoft word and excel.

Good organizational skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both cross-functional and cross-cultural.

Fluent english skills, both written and verbal.
