Monitors the project’s progress, status, changes, and impacts, enabling effective schedule control and change management. Integrates projects scope and EPC phases with a level of details sufficient project management roadmap utilizing the Capital Path Method (CPM) Incumbent utilizes his broad experience, expertise, and exposure to various types of company projects and clients. Serves in a lead capacity providing guidance and support for more junior members of the Project Controls Section.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

 

Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems.

Interfaces with clients, attend regular meetings and provide statistical reports.

Provides project and company management with the necessary tools for project cost control.

Development of the work breakdown structure, interfacing with all affected departments.

Analysis, evaluation, forecast, and reporting of schedule status against an established baseline.

Analysis, evaluation, and forecast project costs and performance.

Coordinates staffing requirements, assigns and supervises project work activities, and trains personnel.

Completes performance reviews and provides personnel development for the assigned employees.

Accumulates and assesses historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.

Lead staff who are qualified to assess the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages.

Develops and maintains an established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules; keeps project and company management fully informed.

Customize project control systems to meet specific project requirements.

May function as Project Control Manager on a project. In that capacity, directs and controls all of the project controls activities.

May support business development efforts by gathering and presenting a variety of background data. Presentations may be of an informal or formal nature.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may directed.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field with minimum fifteen (15) years of postgraduate related experience FROM A RECONGISED WESTERN UNIVERSITY.

Experience within project control, cost and scheduling of project activities particularly using computer-based scheduling software such as Microsoft Projects, Primavera (Oracle’s Project Management Application), or similar programs is required.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

 

Experience with engineering and/or construction cost estimating is a plus.

The ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English is required.

Experience of working in foreign countries, especially in the Middle East is an important criterion.

Should also be able to function effectively with colleagues and subordinates of multiple ethnicity and cultural backgrounds with the ability to lead and guide the team.
