Responsibilities:
- Lead the Project Control Department to ensure effective cost and schedule management for large-scale projects.
- Utilize strong technical expertise in cost engineering, estimating, planning, scheduling, and analysis to establish standards and systems for project control activities.
- Oversee engineering, procurement, and construction contracts, as well as contribute to business process development.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and talent development within the department.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project control team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project control activities align with project objectives.
- Maintain excellent verbal and written communication with project teams and senior management, providing clear and concise updates on project control activities.
- Develop and implement project control strategies and methodologies to ensure the successful execution of projects within budget and schedule constraints.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and assessments of project control processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to monitor project progress, identify risks and opportunities, and make data-driven decisions to drive project success.
- Lead the development and maintenance of project control dashboards and reports for senior management, providing insights into project performance and forecasted outcomes.
- Manage the project control budget, including forecasting and tracking expenses, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented without compromising project quality.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in project control to drive innovation and optimize project performance.
- Act as a mentor and coach to team members, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Represent the Project Control Department in meetings with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, effectively communicating project progress, challenges, and resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and quality standards related to project control activities, promoting a culture of accountability and integrity within the department.
- Drive collaborative efforts across departments to streamline processes, enhance communication, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Lead risk management activities related to project control, proactively identifying and mitigating risks that may impact project delivery and outcomes.
- Foster a culture of innovation within the Project Control Department, encouraging team members to suggest and implement innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability in all project control activities, advocating for practices that prioritize the well-being of project teams and the environment.
Essential Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction, Supply Chain, or equivalent from a Ministry of Education-accredited university.
- Minimum of 15 years of project control experience in large-scale projects, with full responsibility for cost and schedule management.
- Strong technical expertise in cost engineering, estimating, planning, scheduling, and analysis, with a demonstrated ability to establish standards and systems for project control activities.
- Proficiency in engineering, procurement, and construction contracts, as well as business process development.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and talent development, with proven leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive global experience, preferably including work in Saudi Arabia.
