Production & Maintenance Engineer

WHY DO WE NEED YOU ?

• To manage the production and maintenance departments in cooperation with other departments to ensure that supply of products is in line with sales market need and set company guidelines.
• Ensures materials, buildings, plant, machineries/Equipment and production facilities are well maintained with the assistance of the production Supervisor and the maintenance Officers.
• Creates alternative arrangements with the Operations Manager when breakdown occurs in order to overcome any production bottlenecks and arrange for speedy repairs and sets preventive plans for such breakdowns.
• Assumes responsibility to manufacture all products according to its deadlines.
• Coordinates work relationships between the production and maintenance departments.
• Collaborates with his teams regarding necessary measures to be taken for cost reduction.
• Monitors and controls all improvement to be done in the factory for workers health and safety according to the standard procedures and legal regulations.
• Implements safety measures, risk management policy and environmental procedures in the factory.
• Coordinates with the Operations Manager on any staff related emergency or accidents.
• Monitors production and maintenance staff performance and evaluates them in the coordination with the Operations and the HR.
• Develops and trains all employees within the Department according to company standards and guidelines in consultation with Operations Manager and HR.
• Participates in the factory management reviews and meetings.
• Prepares monthly production report and sends it to the Operations Manager.
• Ensures that enough raw materials are available in the stock for production needs and sets a regular production.
• Coordinates with Laboratory Manager regarding products quality.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU ?

Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum 2 years of experience in production or a similar supervisory position.

Good command of the Arabic and English languages.

Omani National will be given preference.

Good command of basic computer skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

High sense of responsibility, discipline and authority.

Able to work in a team environment.
