We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team and oversee our purchasing activities.
Job Description:
As the Procurement Officer, you will manage and streamline the purchasing process to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. You will work closely with various departments to understand their needs and provide strategic purchasing solutions that align with our company’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet the company’s requirements.
– Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong supplier relationships.
– Ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
– Prepare and manage Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) in compliance with UAE regulations.
– Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
– Coordinate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and provide support.
– Manage the purchasing budget and ensure compliance with financial and legal requirements.
– Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing.
– Prepare and present regular purchasing reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree
– Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role within the UAE.
– Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
– Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
– Proficiency in purchasing software and tools.
– Knowledge of UAE purchasing laws and regulations.
– Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
– Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
