The Portfolio Manager is responsible for the respective product portfolio to develop/execute the strategy, strengthen brand equity, and drive return on technology investment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall health of the respective products & services, working alongside other functional disciplines.  The responsibilities of this role include strategic investment decisions, go-to-market strategy, development of product marketing materials, maintenance of product catalog, and support of production processes for the product portfolio

 

As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for:

  •  Leads the portfolio management team, responsible for executing strategy and lifecycle portfolio management for their product portfolio.  Hires, Develops, and Retains the talent in the team.
  • Accountable for the portfolio’s functional, business, and financial performance.
  •  Collaborates with sales & commercial, and marketing teams to gather market research, the voice of the customer, and competitor intelligence to grow the product portfolio.
  •  Partners with Marketing to deploy the strategy for both established and new products.
  • Provides a high level of support for the product portfolio, including application, technical information, key field product application, well prognosis, and product performance information.
  • Delivers business growth through comprehensive lifecycle management that optimizes New Product Introduction, Advanced Technology Development, Service, and Productivity initiatives.
  • Proactively identifies appropriate segmenting, targeting, and positioning of product/service in the competitive landscape.
  • Based on market and technology dynamics, plans and designs platform strategies for short-term/long-term product positioning and business impact.
  • Develops product portfolio roadmaps to optimize profitability while ensuring technology advancements are validated with customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Works with Supply Chain to identify and create supply strategies and cost targets.
  • Assesses the business’s technology and relates it to the needs of the customers and the competitive positions against competitors.
  • Leads the NPI planning phase and delivers commercial success in coordination with commercial, operations, and technology stakeholders.
  • Participates in Stage Gate product and technology development teams, including documentation as required for gate meetings.
  • Drives end-of-life execution on products or services.
  • Represents the organization in outside discussions, customers, and technical forums.
  • Responsible for leading initiatives and associated technologies to drive carbon footprint reduction.
  • Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Health Safety and Environmental policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Core Values.

 

 

 

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Science discipline or Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of cross-functional leadership experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in sales, operations, technology, or technical support.
  • Have experience in upstream O&G manufacturer, intermediate or advanced API 6A product knowledge or equivalent, or customer familiarity.
  • Have Product Line / Regional P&L exposure.
  • Have Customer relationship skills.
  • H=Travel required (>25%).
