Job Description and Requirements

 

Job Summary:

Performs data collection and processing, operates automated pavement measurement equipment and provides technical support for usage of measurement equipment. Perform specialized evaluation tests for both pavement materials and pavement structures for both highways and airports. Design flexible and rigid pavement structures for highways and airports.

.Duties and Responsibilities:

Managerial Duties:

• Implement section’s policies, goals, objectives and procedures and support in their development as needed.
• Support Senior Engineer/Department Manager in the implementation of operations plans, policies, procedures, and transition/migration plans.

Technical Duties:

• Perform specialized evaluation tests for both pavement materials and pavement structures for both highways and airports.
• Design flexible and rigid pavement structures for highways and airports.
• Provide consultations to ACES different branches in issues related to pavement materials and evaluation.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and reports for projects.
• Update the Center library with required software.
• Follow-up on studies work progress.
• Help in conducting development researches to upgrade the technical capabilities of the Center, and submit the recommendations to management.
• Submit monthly and annual reports on the on-going and finished works to the Center Manager.
• Any duties or responsibilities assigned by the management.

 

Reporting To:

RCE (Regional Centers of Excellence) Manager.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or any related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in the field of Pavement Testing and Evaluation.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Knowledge in Performing Field and/ or Laboratory Testing
• Knowledge of Methods Validation & Development
• Knowledge in Equipment Operation, Calibration and Maintenance.

• Knowledge in Load transfer restoration (LTR) & surface restoration of concrete pavements.
• Knowledge in Fundamentals Mathematics, calculations, Statistics, and Data Analysis.
• Knowledge in Safety and Environmental Issues.
