Job Description:
Operational Support Officers directly support the OTH-CT J2X Counterintelligence (CI) and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) branch as CI and HUMINT activities subject matter expert. Supports OTH-CT J2X in its oversight and management of all OTH-CT operational reporting in the Global Controlled Operations Management System (GCOMS). Operational Support Officers provide high quality editing and formatting for all operational reports and advice to the USG on interagency coordination. Conducts HUMINT analysis and creates finished HUMINT products. Creates, reviews, and implements CI and HUMINT policies across command. Manages day-to-day HUMINT/HUMINT related activities, answers higher echelon requirements from, and coordinates with USSOCCENT, USCENTCOM, USSOCOM, and Intelligence Community.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS. Minimum qualifications required
a. A minimum of Three (3) years’ of operational experience in Human
Intelligence (HUMINT) or related activities.
b. Possess a Counterintelligence Scope polygraph within last five years.
c. Possess graduate level English writing and editing skills.
d. Knowledgeable on the Global Controlled Operations Management System
(GCOMS) and Interagency coordination.
e. Knowledge of intelligence oversight and security guidelines.
f. Certified graduate of:
f.1. DoD Strategic Debriefing Course (DSDC).
f.2. Graduate of Defense Advanced Training Course (DATC) or Source
Operations Course (SOC).
f.3. Graduate of Military Operations Training Course (MOTC); Field
Tradecraft Course (FTC); or Operations Tradecraft Course (OTC).
f.4. Graduate of Advanced Special Operations Techniques (ASOT) Managers
Course
g. A minimum of ten (10) years of operational experience and subject matter
expertise in Counter intelligence.
h. Possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
i. Required to work 60 hours per week, 6 days at 10 hours per day.
j. Must meet all medical requirements for deployment.
K. Must attend and successfully complete CONUS Readiness Center (CRC)
training.
