Manage the product mix of the category to achieve the commercial KPIs in line with the department’s strategy and supplier relationship.
Accountabilities:
Category Strategy:
- Develop and execute the category strategy in alignment with the division’s goals.
- Monitor customer data, supplier and brand performance, regional insights, and marketing trends to ensure successful strategy implementation.
Category Portfolio:
- Manage and innovate the category portfolio by identifying new segments based on customer needs and market insights.
- List new products (including first-to-market products) to differentiate assortments and meet customer demands, addressing any gaps.
Category SKUs:
- Lead the listing and delisting process for category SKUs, evaluating performance and initiating potential expansions or liquidations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure optimal SKU distribution and control inventory to meet sales targets and customer needs.
Category Supplier:
- Build and manage strong relationships with suppliers through joint business plans and active involvement in contract renewals.
- Oversee preferred supplier selection and negotiations to drive profit mix and maximize financial outcomes.
Planogram:
- Coordinate product displays (Planograms) by working with space planning and marketing teams, guided by shopper insights and category strategy.
Cross-Functional Alignment:
- Support the category’s promotional calendar by collaborating with suppliers to secure budgets and with marketing to monitor sales, market share, and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with marketing and suppliers to develop and implement consumer communication strategies and commercial training for new product launches.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies and tactics that align with category objectives to increase market share and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Monitor financial outcomes, adjusting strategies to maximize profitability.
In-Store Activities:
- Design and execute in-store activities by negotiating rental fees, selecting point-of-sale materials, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and successful execution.
Work Environment:
- Indoors : 80%
- Outdoors : 20%
- Working Days : 5 Working Days
- Days off : 2 Days Off
- Working Hours : 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1 hour break)
Job Requirements
- Education: BSc Degree
- Experience: 3-5 Year of Experience in Retail
- Computer Skills: MS Office Suite
- Languages: English – Arabic
