A little taste of your day-to-day: 
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Responsible for the operational efficiency of all areas in the night and the service delivery of those areas to ensure guests receive a consistent luxury experience. You will be required to coordinate with all other departments within the hotel to ensure that a seam.
- Manage the efficient front office night operations including check in/out procedures
- Manage guest requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly and completely. Ensure that the Duty Manager is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from Guests and/or other departments
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
- Understand thoroughly all hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties
- Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Front Office Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork
- Ensure your shift team have a current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and special promotional offers, as well as daily VIP and special events
- Maximize room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
- Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire team members to exceed standards
- Other ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done ​​
What we need from you:
- 2 years in a front desk or guest service position and one year in supervisory or team leader position
- Previous experience in a 5 star luxury hotel
- Diploma in Hotel Management/Business Administration or equivalent
- Communication skills – guest will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to
- Your problem solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guest leaves with great memories
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
- Fluency in English – extra language skills would be great, but not essential
- Flexibility – night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job
- Literate and tech savvy – you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic math and computer skills
