  • To ensure health & safety, a policy is enforced for overnight operations. To provide a Snow Oman management presents overnight reporting directly to the night duty manager and deputizing him in his absence.
  • To prepare the facility for the next day operations managing the snow grooming maintenance/operations and oversee the security, facility management & cleaning operations.
  • To oversee departmental overnight operations and sub-contractors’ compliance.
  • Responsible for coordinating projects and ensuring smooth overnight operations
Job Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Follow Snow Oman crisis management plan and respond to emergencies in accordance with the relevant procedures.
  • Oversee the glycol emergency shutdown procedures in according to Snow Oman snow grooming manual and assist the maintenance team in such emergencies.
  • Ensure first-aid procedures are followed and provide first-aid treatment.
  • Ensure the Snow Oman health & safety policy is enforced for all overnight activities.
  • Responsibility for the management of the night grooming operations and machinery 
  • Oversee all subcontractors overnight to ensure health & safety compliance.
  • Provides leadership and support to all members, of night team and oversees compliance to Health & Safety
  • Assist the night duty manager with achieving the KPI’s set out for maintenance and snow quality.
  • Deliver training with all related overnight requirements.
  • Drive, manage, control and report on snow-production quantities and standards. Be main interface with the subcontracted snowmaking team.
  • Prepare and compile reports on snow grooming, snow production, accidents, equipment problems and employee relation matters to facilitate smooth night shift operations.
  • Assist with all snow/event preparations for special events both internal and external.
  • Takes part in the implementation of the training plan for all groomers and maintains training records to ensure training is always as per best industry practice and in line with guidelines of the Snow box consultant and vendors of all used equipment.
  • Assist with alternate methods of snow maintenance in the event of grooming machinery breakdowns.
  • Responsible for overseeing cleaning operations and achievement KPI’s set.
  • Responsible for overseeing security operations and achievement of KPI’s set.
  • Responsible for overseeing facilities management operations and achievement KPI’s set.
  • Maintain clear and accurate operations documents/procedures to include opening and closing checklists.
  • Conduct overnight shift briefings.
  • Miscellaneous other tasks as reasonably required.
Measure of Success – Illustrative KPIs:
  • Responsible for the operation of machinery and equipment which significantly affects the quality of the ‘Guest Experience’. This guest experience is responsible for the delivery of more than 800K guests and revenue of AED115 million.
  • Responsible for the operation of several machines and equipment with an estimated value of approximately AED 3.5 million.
  • Due to the skill level requirements and operational location for the position, there is a need to consider the risk factor in operating heavy machinery within an indoor environment. E.g. Damage to the insulated walls, which would result in a high cost of repairs and detrimental effect on quality of customer experience. Also damage to the Glycol cooling system, again with high repair costs and loss of customer experience.

Minimum experience

  • Experience in snowmaking and operation of grooming fleet. Fully responsible for grooming fleet
  • Junior management skills, experience with motivation and leading a team.

Minimum Qualifications/education

  • Firs Aid qualified.
