Materials Planning & Execution Coordinator will Support coordination, demand, and fulfillment of all critical material flow (including from/to external vendors, GE Commercial Spares, and within the repair and overhaul network) according to production schedules for success of the GE On Wing Support business.
Applicants must be familiar with Aviation/Aerospace warehousing and inventory management practice with exposure to regulatory obligations of part 145.

 

 

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Material & Logistics operations are efficiently & compliantly performed per applicable GE policies & Quality Control Work Instructions.
  • Maintain optimized Inventory levels minimizing supply shortages & overstocking.
  • Assist with periodic stock check/Inventory count.
  • Perform Incoming material inspection as per internal & regulatory guidelines.
  • Put away and pull materials from stock in alignment with production plan and KPIs.In that process, the coordinator will ensure parts are kitted/stored accordingly to prevent damage.
  • Co-ordinate with global fulfillment & transport teams to mitigate any critical material supply issues for operations.
  • Maintain Data & Transaction integrity in ERP system by following standard operating procedures & reflecting the transactions in ERP system.
  • Manage dispatch/transport of unserviceable parts for GE Aerospace Internal & External repair vendors.
  • Coordinate with service providers for Engine transport & customs paperwork / clearance as necessary.
  • Coordinates with cross team functions for correct Material/Transport cost allocation to shop visits.
  • Maintain materials area with proper segregation & identification of parts/materials by adhering to 5S concept.
  • Participate in assessments, read across and PFMEAs to identify and understand sources of defects. Promptly identify and escalate risks to leadership and work with team on solutions.
  • Participate in LEAN events and apply learnings to daily activity. Apply and improve upon standard work in area of responsibility.
  • Execute other additional projects/tasks assigned in an efficient & timely manner.

 

Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with at least 3+ years of experience in airline, aviation industry

Strong Expertise in warehousing and inventory management practice with exposure to regulatory obligations of part 145.
