Job Context & Major Challenge(s) – I

  • Role’s responsibility is to plan, track, monitor and provide materials for a given Shutdown and execute as per approved plan and compile Shutdown material master tracking list.
  • Major challenge is (1) to scope shutdown gate deliverables; (2) coordinate with multiple stakeholders with varied requirements; (3) ensure the shutdown material availability as per shutdown timing.

Key Job Accountabilities – I

  • Create new material code as per requirement using Master Data Governance (MDG) and identify material required for shutdown and SAP reservations.
  • Assist and perform material technical evaluation of offers related to shutdown scope.
  • Coordinate with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) for material stock transfers, purchase requisition (PR) creation and release. Assist Warehouse for material preservation when required.
  • Coordinate with Procurement Section (Shutdown) and Warehouse on shutdown material procurement issues. Keep track of stock, purchase order (PO) status, procurement details during procurement process, generate procurement status reports & notify concerns to respective Shutdown Planning/Shutdown Project team.
  • Prepare consolidated material reports for shutdown management, shutdown coordination meeting and GATE progress.

Key Job Accountabilities – II

  • Coordinate through periodic meetings with Warehouse, Procurement and Expediting to identify shutdown material procurement issues.
  • Perform and coordinate inspection of incoming material with shutdown QA/QC section, End User, if required, to assist Warehouse with the inspection process.
  • Coordinate with workshop to execute valve testing, overhauling, any kind of fabrication work and calibration job as per pre-shutdown and post-shutdown schedule.
  • Perform and coordinate inspection of released material from warehouse before sending to site for palletising and staging. Perform and arrange material physical verification at warehouse during Shutdown Gate-3 Milestone and follow up for any findings.
  • Develop and participate in finalizing Red Zone Material list in coordination with Shutdown Planner, Purchasing, Asset Planner and other concerned parties.

Qualifications

  • High National Diploma (HND) in Engineering.

Knowledge and/or Experience – I

  • 8 years’ experience in Oil & Gas industry or petrochemical industry.
  • Proven ability to work well both independently and within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Material Specifications and International Codes.
