About the role 

As Manager Sales, you will be responsible for creating a comprehensive sales strategy and providing leadership on a strategic and commercial level for all sales activities of Discover Qatar (DQ) and Qatar Airways Holidays (QRH). Generating long-term maximum profitable revenues and customer volumes for DQ and QRH while establishing DQ as the DMC of choice for international partners and QRH as the leading Tour Operator for the region

Other key responsibilities are:

  • Develop and manage a global sales strategy for Discover Qatar and Qatar Airways Holidays and define distribution channel and markets
  • Manage Sales Process improvements.
  • Monitor changing market trends, identify opportunities with recommendations to implement strategies to attain revenue targets
  • Identify and evaluate new markets and sources of business that will bring additional revenue for both brands.
  • Manage the analysis, selection and appointment of representatives/franchisees in new identified key markets, oversee their performance and ensure that the targets are achieved.
  • Develop plans to implement and maintain professional standards across the Sales team to ensure that the Discover Qatar and Qatar Airways Holidays presence is consistent and retains a high profile
  • Prepare and submit annual budgets to the Senior Manager – Discover Qatar to maximize opportunities and contribute to the success of Qatar Airways group.
  • Measure the performance of all relevant business decisions such as pricing, incentives, deals and offers and review the impact for any further actions required thereof. Identify and recommend remedial measures is required.
  • Establish and manage high level contacts with clients to enhance Discover Qatar and Qatar Airways Holidays image and facilitate the flow of information to maintain a competitive and reputational edge over competitors.

Qualifications

About You

We are looking for a team player with a deep-rooted passion for travel and the tourism industry. Understands the intricacies of the travel market, from stopovers to extended vacations. Possesses knowledge of the industry, digital trends and consumer behavior. With strong commercial acumen and data-driven mindset and can identify opportunities and drive growth.

Other qualifications are.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 8+ years of job-related experience.
  • Experience in Travel & Tourism/Airline industry with minimum 4 years in management under commercial sales.
  • Proven experience in leading sales teams to deliver and exceed business budgets and KPIs
  • Excellent understanding of all aspects of international tour operations & destination management companies.
  • Proven experience of managing global markets and B2B accounts to growth
