Aldar Education is currently seeking a Manager – Inclusion to support our growing family of owned, managed and operated schools in the UAE. This role is based in Aldar Education HQ.

Responsibilities

Main Duties:

  • To co-create, develop and oversee key strategies to improve inclusion, including curriculum adaption, interventions and impact across all our schools.
  • To work as part of the wider inclusion and education team to enhance provision in schools and ensure that schools are inclusive in admissions, provision and assessment for Students of Determination and provide learners with personalised and innovative learning opportunities
  • Provide staff training on inclusion matters and ensure that all Students of Determination are identified, accommodated and supported to the highest standards.

Specific Duties:

  • To act as a source of support, advice, and expertise to staff on matters of inclusion, special educational needs and management within educational settings
  • Provide critical feedback and support to school leadership on inclusion matters
  • Monitor school inclusion team systems, processes and provision, ensuring documentation and matters of compliance are maintained and used to inform departmental development plans.
  • Research latest inclusion ideas and disseminate across the group
  • Work closely with school leaders to support inspection preparation and outcomes related to Inclusion – Care, Guidance and Support matters and Domain 2.
  • To gain insight, promote and improve the work of inclusion teams across the group
  • Maintain the existing inclusion network to share best practice
  • To support the wider education team in meeting group strategic aims
  • Effective in the use of assistive technology, and online platforms to enhance progress and attainment of Students of Determination
  • Provide and develop tools and resources for the group
  • Participate in strategic initiatives and trials of resources to quality assure impact and achievement of Inclusion strategic plans.
  • To act as the group foci for In School Specialist Services
  • Monitor the provision of In School Services across all Charter Schools
  • Lead and Quality Assure the identification and provision for Gifted and Talented Students.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or bachelor’s degree with postgraduate qualifications in teaching (eg. PGCE). Specialist qualifications in Special Education or related field.

Minimum Experience:

  • At least 5 years senior leadership in a school setting as SENDCo or Head of Inclusion.
