As a project Inbound Material Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing , managing and planning all import activities for the project, ensuring that goods are imported efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate importation and delivery of goods.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead/Direct the end-to-end import process, including planning, transportation, commercial and delivery of goods.
  • Ensure all import documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with local and international regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to the import and delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of goods based on delivery schedule .
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of expeditors and specialists.
  • Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve import processes.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
  • Utilize technology and systems to optimize import operations.
  • Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering timely and accurate import services.
  • Address and resolve any customer issues or complaints related to material management

 

Educational Qualification & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, international business, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of import management experience within the logistics or supply chain industry.
  • Experience in managing a team and working with international suppliers and carriers.
  • Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures.
