Accountabilities
Strategy Formulation:
- Participate in setting objectives, plan development and performance review for facility operations.
- Initiate, implement and manage the maintenance program based on best practices in the Facilities Management Industry focusing on emphasis on planning/ scheduling and preventive/ predictive maintenance
Operational:
- Continuously review facility operations and systems, implementing a culture of continuous improvement and best practice strategies to ensure a consistently high level of service delivery, better response times and contract compliance.
- Assist in monitoring the proper implementation of the Facilities Management contractual obligations, aiming to add value, increase productivity, and achieve cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations by regularly monitoring facilities and systems.
- Develop and manage standard operating procedures, contingency plans, emergency response procedures, preventative maintenance programs and all technical documentation
- Conduct regular site visits to properties, thoroughly inspecting and documenting any defects for corrective action.
- Act as a point of contact for high-level stakeholders and tenants regarding Facilities Maintenance matters.
- Liaise with landlords and outsourced contractors to coordinate necessary repairs and address deficiencies according to contractual agreements.
- Develop, lead, motivate and inspire a professional team enabling them to meet both personal and business targets. Provide clear operational direction and support to the team.
- Proactively manage and take ownership of issues. Seek equitable and creative solutions to problems.
- Maintain and update maintenance contracts, incident reports, and the asset list/register.
- Collaborate with building landlords to ensure smooth new building takeovers, conducting thorough inspections and rectifying any issues to meet QR standards.
- Establish and document competency standards for individuals working on critical assets, incorporating them into work plans.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing facility environment.
- Initiate and execute projects aimed at improving facility efficiency and reducing operating costs.
- Monitor spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment inventory, initiating reordering as needed.
- Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Management & Leadership:
- Enhance organizational decision making with regards to Facilities operations by establishing procedures to ensure quality information, documentation, knowledge and analysis related to facilities issues are effectively retained, organized, accessible and disseminated.
- Track, analyse and improve key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance for improving facility operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
- Manage the project process including: estimating costs, obtaining capital request approvals, managing projects within established budgets and implementing projects within timelines
- Review project plans, designs and construction drawings for quality and consistency ensuring the same confirms to technical standards.
- Implement and monitor preventive/ predictive maintenance program for the business unit
- Prepare annual budgets and deliver within the budget

Environmental Competencies:
- Contribute towards Qatar Airways Group Environmental Objectives, targets, implementation and maintenance of the Environmental Management System.
- Apply environmental knowledge and principles in your role, and incorporate this into business processes and decision making to drive efficiencies and reduce environmental and operational risks.
Qualifications
About you
Qualifications
Essential
- A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Hotel Management, Tourism & Hospitality or Real Estate or Health & Safety.
Preferred
- 4 years Bachelor’s Degree in Technical discipline.
Previous Experience
Essential
- Minimum 10 years of job-related experience required.
- Relevant experience in a similar position and capacity in a Facilities Management environment.
- In depth knowledge of property management principles, procedures and standards, as applied to company facilities.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize
Preferred.
- Experience ideally as MEP Facility Manager or MEP Maintenance Manager for residential or commercial properties.
- 4 years Bachelor degree in Technical discipline.
Job Specific Skills:
- Excellent ability to analyze and interpret the needs of staff customers and offer appropriate solutions within the ambit of laid down guidelines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skill and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of diverse communities / nationalities
- Well verse and have both theoretical and practical experience in BMS system
- Detail oriented with ability to deliver outputs within limited time schedules
- Managerial skills – Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail.
- Must be flexible with working hours.
- Qatari or transferable Driving License
