The Business Change Manager is responsible for driving and managing organizational change initiatives within the Road division. The primary objective is to optimize business processes, enhance operational efficiency, and improve overall performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify Change Opportunities: Analyze current business processes, systems, and practices to identify areas for improvement and change within the logistics company. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to propose innovative solutions.
  • Develop Change Strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, IT, supply chain, and management, to develop comprehensive change strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Consider technological advancements, market dynamics, and customer demands.
  • Change Planning and Implementation: Plan and execute change initiatives by defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements. Develop detailed change management plans, communication strategies, and training programs to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of new processes or systems.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization to secure buy-in and support for change initiatives. Build strong relationships and effectively communicate the benefits of proposed changes, addressing concerns and resistance along the way.
  • Process Analysis and Optimization: Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes, workflows, and logistics operations. Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational performance.
  • Change Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of implemented changes. Continuously monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of change initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to ensure desired outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and logistics best practices to drive innovation and proactively identify new change opportunities.

Educational Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Relevant Logistics industry qualifications, certification, degree or diploma
  • Min 5 years of relevant experience in Road operations and 2+ years in Business Change Management
  • Preference will be given to candidates with bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field (relevant certifications are a plus).

  • Proven experience in change management, business process improvement, or project management within the logistics industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Project management expertise with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple change initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in utilizing change management tools, methodologies, and software.
  • Knowledge of logistics operations, supply chain management, and industry-specific technologies viz. Transportation management systems (TMS) is highly desirable.
  • Performance Measurement and Reporting:
    • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of road freight operations.
    • Establish regular reporting mechanisms to provide insights into operational performance, identify trends, and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
