Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Maintenance Supervisor to join our Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) team. The selected candidate will assist in providing sustainment support services (operational engineering and logistics support) globally for some 25,000 vehicles including the Army’s Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles, or MRAPs.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance Supervisor performs all functional duties independently in support of ALECS maintenance operations.
  • Plans, directs, or coordinates the ALECS maintenance operations for assigned TA organizations.
  • Duties and responsibilities include formulating maintenance policies, managing daily maintenance operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources.
  • Works with functional area leads on the management or administration of personnel.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Selected candidates must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Three (3) to 10 years of experience AND a BA/BS or MA/MS degree.
  • Proven maintenance, repair and technical experience and background in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance or military operations or maintenance.
  • Mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills to diagnose, align, and repair failed and damaged systems.
  • Proven communicator in verbal and written disciplines.
  • Ability to provide formal, over-the-shoulder, and on-the-spot training to contractor and unit personnel.
  • Experience with office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to accept both temporary and permanent CONUS & OCONUS transfers to other assignments if needed.
  • Ability to deploy to risky hostile (“war zone”) environments if required.
  • Ability to meet the government deployment physical requirements, if needed.
  • Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems preferable.
  • Preferably familiar or knowledgeable with MRAP/RCV systems.

 

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active (DoD) Secret clearance.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and knee.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
  • Must be able to work in high noise areas.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
  • Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
