We are seeking a highly organized and strategic individual to join our team as the Logistics Section Head. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about optimizing supply chain management, coordinating logistics operations, and leading a team to achieve efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The successful candidate will drive our logistics strategies and ensure seamless distribution and movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities in Logistics Management

  • Operations Coordination: Oversee the daily logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient execution of procurement, transportation, and distribution activities.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Analyze and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and meet company and customer requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with service agreements.
  • Inventory Control: Implement effective inventory management practices to ensure optimal stock levels and reduce overall holding costs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor logistics performance through key metrics and KPIs, compiling reports for senior management to inform strategic decisions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, promoting safety and ethical standards.

Essential Qualifications for a Logistics Section Head

  • Experience: Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field with a track record of successful project management and team leadership.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a closely related field.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to utilize data for strategic decision-making.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics and supply chain software systems, including ERP and WMS platforms.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Preferred Qualifications for Logistics Excellence

  • Certification in logistics or supply chain (e.g., APICS CSCP, CLTD) is a plus.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of international logistics, including customs regulations and documentation.
