Essential Functions:

 

Lead Painter is responsible for supervising the team operations and maintaining the required standards in a painting project. Their duties include painting permanent structures, backdrops, cutouts, set pieces, faux treatment applications, spray painting, varnishing, and plastering.

  • Applies various finishes to buildings, rooms, or other structures, including primers or sealers
  • Prepares, cleans, and tapes all jobsites
  • Removes old paint coating, if necessary
  • Mixes colors or oils to obtain desired color or consistency
  • Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned
  • Cleans up worksite debris.
  • Assigns and inspects the work of Painters initiates corrective action to secure satisfactory standards and timely project completion.
  • Plans and develops work schedules, equipment usage schedules, and procedures for equipment maintenance.
  • Maintains material records, and submits reports.
  • Determines material and labor estimates.
  • Participates in maintenance, repair, and installation duties in the trades.
  • Participates in analysis of product health and environmental hazards as stated on legally required manufacturers’ Materials Safety Data Sheets to ensure application of materials as appropriate to area of installation.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance workers, company officials, and staff to effectively provide solutions to maintenance problems
  • Attend quickly to an emergency call on equipment repair issues, as well as to after-work-hour calls
  • Perform other duties the supervisor may assign.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

 

  • Knowledgeable with different tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade
  • Knowledgeable with applicable codes, standards, and regulations
  • Knowledge of life equipment operation, hazardous materials handling safety procedures, asbestos abatement, and scaffold safety
  • Skill in repair and maintenance of painting assignments common to the trade
  • Skill in estimating time and material requirements for work projects
  • Trade certifications or equivalent experience
  • Experience required by the position is from 2 to 4 years of employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other organizations.
  • Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance.
  • Working knowledge is generally learned on the Job or through a series of professional certifications.
  • Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment.
  • Ability to read and speak and write English.
