  • Serve as a resource to the IT Project Manager for fulfilling Project IT deliverables.
  • The ITDT will work under general direction of the IT Project Manager and will primarily support the end-user desktop environments for both PMT personnel using the computing environment and Phase V personnel using the computing environment.

 

About this role

  • Monitor IT peripheral inventory for all site offices. Attend project meetings as directed, take and compile notes accordingly.
  • Help evaluate technical basis for contractor change requests.
  • Assist with monitoring and assessing contractors engineering progress against schedule.
  • Assist with Quality Control review of construction and installation of network infrastructure to ensure that IT Specs are met.
  • Assist with implementation of communications and IT systems in the contractor’s scope of work.
  • Assist with implementation of Information Systems modules.
  • Provide IT support for Project to maintain productivity.
  • Ensures IT compliance with project documentation requirements. Escalation of issues when needs are identified.
  • Coordinates meetings with Company IT resources as necessary. Installing or upgrading computer systems and networks in the workplace.
  • Troubleshooting software, hardware and other IT equipment issues.
  • Securing computer networks by performing periodic upgrades to firewalls. Maintaining technical documentation.
  • Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining hardware and software components to ensure the smooth running of computer systems.
  • Being the primary point of contact for IT support within a company.
  • Setting up computer networks and assisting employees with IT-related problems.

What you need to bring:

  • The minimum qualification is a bachelor’s or diploma in computer science or a related field.
  • They would also require at least minimum 10 years’ experience in IT support or a related role.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and tools such as firewalls, antivirus software and intrusion detection and prevention systems is preferable.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong Team ethic, whilst able to work autonomously.
  • Takes personal responsibility for creating an environment where every employee is held accountable for creating a workplace of tolerance and inclusion.
