Job Description

System Administration:

Manage and administer computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure.

Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.

Implement security measures to safeguard systems and data against unauthorized access or breaches.

Network Management:

Maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

Configure and manage network protocols, IP addressing, and VLANs.

Ensure network connectivity and troubleshoot connectivity issues as needed.

Implement network security measures and protocols to protect against vulnerabilities and threats.

User Support:

Provide technical support and assistance to end-users on IT-related issues.

Respond to helpdesk requests in a timely and efficient manner.

Assist with the setup and configuration of user accounts, email, and other IT resources.

Conduct user training sessions and create documentation to support user education.

Data Backup and Recovery:

Develop and implement data backup and recovery strategies.

Perform regular backups of critical data and systems to prevent data loss.

Test backup and recovery procedures to ensure reliability and effectiveness.

IT Infrastructure Planning:

Assess current IT infrastructure and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades.

Plan and execute IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and expansions.

Collaborate with other IT team members and stakeholders to implement solutions that meet organizational needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience as an IT Administrator or similar role, minimum of 5 years.

Proficiency in system administration, network management, and IT security.

Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), server technologies, and virtualization.

Experience with network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, PMIS, and VPNs.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Effective communication skills and the ability to interact with users at all levels of the organization.
