Overview of the role
HR People Analytics Lead will be responsible for managing Al Futtaim’s HR Data & Reporting portfolio underpinned by the people analytics framework. Through expert product knowledge of the reporting tools and as a key-value partner, you will ensure we continuously drive business value from our technology, improve accessibility of people insights and optimize the cost to serve, in partnership with EIT, Group Digital & HR Process owners. As the future systems roadmap is developed and delivered, you will work closely with our HR Transformation program, taking accountability for a smooth transition of cutover activities into business as usual. As part of our value streams, you will play a key role in ensuring Al Futtaim continues to fully harness and benefit from our technology estate in collaboration with EIT, Group Digital, HR COE’s and vendors.
What you will do
- As the product expert for Reporting & Analytics, you will learn the external technology market, internal environment, and our customers’ needs as they evolve to shape our HR technology roadmap bottom up. In addition, manage, and prioritize the product backlog, serve as a liaison between product design and development teams, and translate strategic initiatives into work packages where required.
- Collect, curate and interpret data to create people insights which guide decision making, at a strategic level.
- Use PowerBI to develop the Group People Dashboard and manage the end-to-end implementation plan
- Build complex databases of people data consisting of both structured and unstructured data sets
- Work with stakeholders to develop questions and hypotheses to provide insight into people issues
- Conduct research design using quantitative and qualitative methods
- Conduct complex data analysis, and identify patterns and trends in people data
- Create data models, data visualizations and use storytelling techniques to inform decision-making on people issues
- Primary lead to embed new data governance models and initiatives across the group in partnership with the DGO office.
- Key-value partner to our key stakeholders, Data Governance Office, HR COE’s, HR Process Owners, EIT, Group Digital and our vendors.
- Responsible for the global systems and applications within Reporting & Analytics.
- Accountable for the configuration, maintenance, and operation of the system(s), including but not limited to:
- Delivering our services under each value stream to ensure adequate operational support, system administration, incident resolution and configuration changes as required in conjunction with our HRIS Handbook and the SDLC approach.
- Completing design and configuration (with EIT) of solutions and ensuring the associated SuccessFactors workbook’s and system design documentation remains up to date
- Oversee daily administration and maintenance of the system, working with internal colleagues and 3rd party vendors as required
- Manage roles, access, and permission requests in conjunction with our data governance standards.
- Lead change mgmt. activities for change requests via HR Process Owners to ensure our communities are effectively updated and, where required, trained to increase system adoption and usage.
- Strong alignment with a new employee experience team to ensure guiding principles and alignment between digital initiatives and strategy.

What equips you for the role
- Undergraduate degree required; degree in business analytics, statistics, math, or computer science preferred
- 2+ years of experience in an analytical role (HR experience or internal / external consulting experience preferred)
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Superb analytical skills; hands-on experience manipulating and deriving insight from large datasets
- Expert PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Proficiency in Tableau, Power Bi Alteryx and programming tools (e.g., SAS, R, Python, etc.) is a plus
- Experience with HRIS particularly SAP SuccessFactors Report Centre, People Stories and SAP Ad Hoc Query.
