Our EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) HR team lives our values, understands how our culture comes to life, and possess a deep knowledge of the business and delivery of all HR services to internal client groups to drive outstanding performance.

This role will serve as a HR Officer, aligned to the Middle East Region, the role will play a critical role in enhancing HR support to the aligned countries by partnering with operational teams across the region, HRBPs and beyond to ensure client and staff operational requirements are met. To be successful in this role, you will need to build relationships across HR and the Firm, learn the business, its leaders and organizational structure and problem solve across a wide range of HR topics.

Operations Element of Role (majority of the role):

Work in close partnership with HR Operational teams, and Centres of Excellence as well as HRBP striving to scale and centralise processes and ensure all processes are compliant. The role will lead the ongoing work to address process gap and issues for BlackRock Saudi Arabia.

Point of escalation to manage local language operational deliverables such as referencing, local language required documents, local regulatory reporting (leveraging Workday reporting) and letter and contract review, 2nd level support for local HR request (point of escalation)

Point of contact for local authorities for execution of external obligations, working closely with partners in HR Operations, such as Reward Operations

Assist EMEA Operations in triaging local operational issues

Partner with BlackRock Immigration (and external visa counsel), and the ME Office Manager on the smooth management of visas for BRIM (and BAU activities) to ensure there is a good leader and employee experience.

On an ongoing basis check documents for accuracy (such as LOA’s and contracts of employment) to ensure accuracy prior to review by the Head of BlackRock Saudi Arabia (the authorised signatory).

You need to have:

2+ years’ experience as a HR professional or HR consultant across a number of Middle East countries, working for a global firm

HR knowledge and experience in KSA

Native in Arabic, fluent in English

Demonstrated reporting and analytical skills, fluency with MS Office, and ability to summarize information tailored to different audiences

Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail and high standards for accuracy

Strong project management skills with ability to anticipate and hit deadlines related to client deliverables

Fast learner, proactive, agile, adaptable with ability to function in a fast changing, global environment

Ability to identify process improvement opportunities, and can partner regionally and globally to facilitate these improvements

We’d love to see:

Knowledge in the Asset management/Finance or Software industry

Experience with Workday

Excellent interpersonal and partnership skills

Commercial acumen and demonstrated interest in financial services and/or technology

Ability to communicate to a professional standard, verbally and in written, in Arabic and English

Education Requirement:

BA/Bsc degree or equivalent; (certifications and course work in specific areas of HR expertise preferred)
