Key Accountabilities:

1. Audit Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive audit strategy for evaluating and monitoring supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key audit areas and establish audit schedules.
  • Conduct risk assessments to prioritize and plan supplier audits based on criticality.

2. Supplier Evaluation and Selection:

  • Lead the evaluation and selection of suppliers for audit based on predefined criteria.
  • Collaborate with procurement and quality teams to assess supplier capabilities, compliance history, and quality management systems.
  • Develop and maintain a supplier audit database for tracking and reporting purposes.

 

3. Audit Execution and Compliance:

  • Conduct supplier audits in accordance with established audit plans and protocols.
  • Evaluate supplier processes, quality management systems, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Identify non-conformities, recommend corrective actions, and verify their implementation.

4. Continuous Improvement

  • Implement a culture of continuous improvement within the supplier network through audit findings and feedback.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to enhance processes, address systemic issues, and drive overall quality improvements.
  • Provide training and guidance to suppliers on best practices and industry standards.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including quality assurance, procurement, and engineering teams, to integrate audit findings into supplier development programs.
  • Work closely with suppliers to address corrective actions and foster a collaborative relationship.

6. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Generate comprehensive audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of audit processes, findings, and supplier performance.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on supplier audit outcomes and trends.

Experience & Education Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supplier audits, quality management, or related roles, preferably within the defense or aerospace industry.
  • Proven track record of conducting supplier audits and implementing corrective action plans.
  • In-depth knowledge of international quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach.
  • Collaborative and able to build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Proactive problem solver with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
