The project:

A major urban development project comprising of new homes, commercial properties, public spaces and smart urban mobility.  Mace have the opportunity to develop and lead and implement the PMO structure to deliver this city development.

Leads the implementation and delivery of a comprehensive range of stakeholder.

Management communications services (stakeholder management, communications management, consents management, interface management) to support commissions and provide line management leadership and guidance for others within the stakeholder management centre of excellence and the wider mace business (e.g. other hubs, international business and other centres of excellence) as required.

Your responsibilities will include:

•    Manages the delivery of the stakeholder management team/s on the assigned commissions.

•    Supports the hub PMO and project control director with resourcing and recruitment for the assigned commission.

•    Accountable for the stakeholder management service performance on assigned commissions.

•    Designs effective stakeholder management communications service strategies.

•    Manages and directs clients, consultants, contractors, project team on all stakeholder management service matters.

•    Provides expert technical advice and builds strong professional relationships with client organisations.

•    Acts as the subject matter expert on assigned programme.

•    Leads and directs team in the administration of all related processes including managing change, risks, issues and reporting to achieve key objectives and the escalation of performance and management issues.

•    Ensures all activities/operations are carried out in line with Mace control centre, client requirements and prevailing regulations and legislation.

•    Provides line management to more junior team members and other programme staff as required.

•    Utilises expertise to mentor and assist the personal and career development of team.

•    Innovates and aligns with industry best practice to ensure continued service excellence.

•    Manages a team of professional roles and may include support roles, driving performance and results, whilst delivering performance management, technical development and coaching.

You’ll need to have:

•    Relevant degree qualification.

•    Proven experience working on city development, programme, projects.

•    Knowledge transfer and mentoring experience.

You’ll also have:

•    Proven years of experience as stakeholder and communications services leader delivering a range of project  management services on major construction programmes.

•    Professional membership or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.

•    Experience in the successful delivery phase of relevant projects and programmes.

•    Strong commercial and financial acumen.

•    Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.

•    Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.

•    Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
