Group Finance Controller

Our client is a subsidiary of a growing and renowned holding group based in Abu Dhabi.

It specialises in natural resources with a unique mission consisting of maximising value for the stakeholders while minimizing environmental impact.

We are actively looking for a Group Finance Controller to join the finance team. If you possess strong internal control, reporting and consolidation skills, please read the below:

Job Description

• Lead and oversee the entire group financial reporting and consolidation process, ensuring compliance with IFRS and relevant industry standards.
• Develop and implement robust financial controls to safeguard the integrity of financial data and mitigation financial risks.
• Liaise and collaborate effectively with finance leaders at subsidiaries to gather information, address concerns, and ensure consistent reporting practices.
• Manage the process of closing the books on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decisions-making for the company.

The Successful Applicant

• Being a Qualified Finance professional
• Strong understanding of IFRS and proven experience applying them in a complex setting.
• A BIG4 background is required
• Proven track record of 5 to 10 years of experience (maximum) in the finance function, specifically into reporting & consolidation (IFRS10 is a must)
• A previous experience in natural resources, holding, infrastructure, Oil & Gas, energy is mandatory
• Strong leadership and communication skills as well as a hands-on approach and do-er attitude.
