Charterhouse is working in partnership with a Green Commercial Laundry Service with the most luxurious hospitality accounts in Qatar. Our client is looking for a highly experienced, commercial General Manager from a production and service environment.
About the role
This role is a 360-role focused on operations, planning, service and budgets, with the ability to achieve turnover targets in all areas. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the highest level of hygiene procedures and brand standards are met. The role will also oversee building a skilled workforce through recruitment and training programmes. The General Manager will also be tasked with the efficient and organized management of vehicle fleet operations, in line with the budgetary and legal boundaries.
Our client is looking for a competent communicator who is also confident in presenting to groups and individuals, as well as discussing P&Ls. The role will also be focused on prevention of plant and machinery breakdown by maintaining efficient operations and minimizing the loss of production. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience with supporting and driving the sales and service team to ensure targets are met and customer service standards remain consistent with any complaint actioned immediately.
About you
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a General Manager within a commercial laundry business. The ideal candidate must possess qualifications within textile or health and safety. Our client is looking for someone with market knowledge and awareness of new technologies and security procedures. Knowledge of PPM along with running transport functions and route planning is mandatory.
