General Ledger Accountant

Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and adjustments. Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management review. Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes. Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors. Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities to ensure timely processing and collections. Assist in developing and implementing internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks. Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues and improve processes. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices. Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or Senior Management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is an advantage.

Minimum of 5 of experience in accounting or finance roles.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of Qatar’s accounting and tax regulations is a plus.
