Linum Consult’s client is a major organisation in Qatar. They are seeking a Financial Controller with a background in the logistics industry to join their team in Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing and implementing comprehensive financial plans and budgets, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s objectives
• Preparing accurate and timely financial reports in compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
• Ensuring compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards
• Providing commercial procedures and driving operational, commercial and financial target delivery
• Analysing financial data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to inform strategic business decisions
• Developing financial models, forecasts, and scenarios to support business growth and development
• Overseeing the accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payment and optimal cash flow management
• Managing accounts receivable, ensuring efficient collection and minimising bad debts

Requirements:

PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field, with relevant certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (ACCA)
• 10 years’ experience in the transportation or logistics industries
• Strong working knowledge of accounting software, such as SAP or Oracle
• Excellent financial planning, budgeting, analysis and reporting skills
• Ideally have a background of working in the Middle East
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English

Salary:
QAR 18,000 to 20,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
