The role of Financial Analyst/Accountant is to provide support for Group & Statutory actuals reporting, as well as to assist in local internal control processes and required documentation. The individual in this role will be responsible for managing daily and monthly bookings, and may also supervise accounting staff when necessary. It is essential for the incumbent to develop a comprehensive understanding of each process to effectively support multiple processes. A skilled Financial Analyst/Accountant resource will be utilized to support accounting staff during peak periods, ensuring smooth operations. This role is regarded as a valuable developmental opportunity.

 1. Application of accounting policy and Financial Integrity

  • Supports Head of Finance & Controlling on the proper application of Group reporting manual at the local entity level and all accounting judgements are consulted, evidenced, documented and approved within Accounting Policy requirements and Delegations of Authority.
  • Key support and responsible of application of statutory accounting standards within Finance department
  • Organizes & books the necessary group / statutory adjustments during reporting.
  • Closely follows changes on group & statutory accounting standards and supports implementation within company.

2. Financial Reporting

  • Supports Head of Finance & Controlling on creating monthly controlling pack.
  • Ensures requirements of all local legislation over financial reporting, accounting and control are met, including Statutory and Tax Reporting where relevant.
  • Supports preparation of yearly audited reporting package.
  • Project responsibility for Qatar VAT implementation.
  • Support on assuring the accuracy & completeness of the actuals.

3.Control and Risk Framework

  • Supports Head of Finance on creating robust internal control environment.

Qualifications

  • Recognised national or international professional accountancy qualification.
  • Proven track record in controlling or audit in a multi-national environment.
  • Experience on SAP especially FI / CO modules.
  • Excellent knowledge of in-house systems, project data bases, sales software and Excel.
  • Experience in Power BI is a plus.
  • Confident communicator.
  • Fluency in “business English”
  • Strong understanding on international accounting and reporting standards.
  • Looks for ways to do things better, faster and more efficiently.

  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Analytical way of thinking.
