As a Resident Expeditor in Sub-Contractor’s Fabrication Shop, oversee Fabrication, Assembly and Testing Activities for manufacturing of Pressure Vessels and Skid Packages, track and report progress and ensure timely execution and delivery of the packaged equipment.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

  • Review Contract and Design Requirements of Pressure Vessels and Skid Packages ordered on sub-vendors
  • Review Vendor’s Fabrication Drawings and understand technical requirements, Client Specifications and QA-QC Requirements applicable for the Pressure Vessels and Skid Packages
  • Review Sub-Vendor’s Production Schedule, suggest improvements
  • Identify fabrication related issues early, coordinate with Engineering and Project team for issues resolution, suggest preventive and corrective measures for problems occurring on the shop floor
  • Ensure that the sub-vendor deputes adequate manpower to meet the delivery requirements
  • Ensuring that the sub-vendor meets the Quality Requirements of the Project and good Engineering and Production practices are followed
  • Involvement in Inter-Disciplinary Check of Drawings issued for Production / Construction
  • Providing value inputs to Engineering on potential design optimization
  • Assertively and proactively pursues supplier deliverables such as drawing, milestones, & material deliverables.
  • Participates and contributes to supplier kick of meetings to set suppliers expectations such as reporting, documentations and final delivery.
  • Expedites internally for engineering deliverables as well Exterran manufacturing deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Works cross functionally between Engineering and Production teams in manufacturing locations.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Supervising Fabrication, Production of Vessels, Structures, Piping and Assembly of Skid mounted packages including electrical and instrumentation works
  • Adequate Knowledge of QA-QC Requirements of the Project/Product.
  • Knowledge of Production Planning, being able to develop Shop Manufacturing Plan
  • Exercising Control over sub-contractor/manpower suppliers
  • Experienced with ERP systems (Oracle) and SAP:
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
