Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee work teams across architectural, construction, civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines in large-scale projects.
• Utilize proficiency in engineering systems, calculations, methodologies, materials, and computer applications to drive project success.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, regulatory standards, engineering procedures, and design standards across all engineering specialties.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and provide support for talent development within the engineering team.
• Demonstrate proven leadership capabilities in guiding teams towards project milestones and objectives.
• Utilize advanced oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, architects, procurement specialists, and quality assurance professionals, to ensure seamless project integration and successful delivery of engineering objectives.
• Utilize project management principles to plan, execute, and monitor the progress of engineering activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
• Drive an environment of safety, quality, and efficiency across engineering operations, promoting best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance in the evaluation of new technologies, methodologies, and materials to enhance project outcomes and deliver innovative solutions.
• Lead the development and execution of engineering strategies aligned with organizational goals, driving efficiency, excellence, and customer satisfaction.
• Mentor and coach engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and high performance within the team.
• Assume responsibility for risk management, identifying potential engineering risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to maintain project integrity and minimize disruptions.
• Engage in client interactions to understand project requirements, address technical inquiries, and build strong and lasting relationships.

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science from a Ministry-accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years of practical experience in engineering management in major projects, with a focus on design engineering, new systems, and site engineering services.
• Extensive supervision experience, particularly in procurement, construction, contracts, and quality assurance.
• Proven leadership capabilities in leading work teams across multiple engineering disciplines in large-scale projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of industry codes, regulatory standards, engineering procedures, and design standards.
• Track record in driving continuous improvement and supporting talent development initiatives.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills.
