Experience/Qualifications Needed:

  • Proficient in 3D modeling using AVEVA E3D application.
  • Experienced in developing and managing detailed engineering designs, layouts, and visualizations.
  • Skilled in setting up standards and specifications for Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and Smart Construction.
  • Ability to develop and implement engineering design standards, ensuring consistency and quality across projects.
  • Experienced in training and mentoring junior administrators and engineers in the use of E3D and other related tools.
  • Ability to develop training programs and materials to enhance the technical capabilities of the team.
  • Experienced in coordinating with multi‐disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of 3D models and construction packages.
  • Strong understanding of project workflows and the ability to optimize processes for better efficiency and accuracy.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting for E3D and related engineering applications.
  • Ability to resolve complex technical issues and ensure smooth operation of design systems.
  • Effective communication skills to work with various stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, and IT staff.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts to non‐technical stakeholders and ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in 3D modeling and construction management.
  • Ability to suggest and implement innovative solutions to enhance project delivery and efficiency.
  • Experienced in maintaining comprehensive documentation of design processes, standards, and training materials.
  • Ability to generate detailed reports and presentations for management and project stakeholders

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Translate project engineering requirements into design systems functionality to enable creation of 2D and 3D deliverables used for construction, operations, maintenance and future plant improvement projects (typical life cycle 20‐30 years).
  • Advise project leadership on EDS technological options/alternatives, make recommendations that best achieve project design goals, which recognize and take account of technical challenges.
  • Develop, initialize and monitor database structures appropriate to the project, that adhere to company standards and procedures.
  • Architect technology infrastructure to reduce cycle time and cost.
  • Ensure a productive interface with all other relevant project databases (e.g. Oracle, Engineering Design Databases, PDMS, AVEVA Net Portal).
  • Train and coach EDS Analysts in engineering design system development and configuration
  • Formulate and implement design system process improvements, particularly with regard to performance measurement; troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Act as department Point of Contact for relevant industry leading technology trends and innovations; actively support Lessons Learned activity to constantly improve EDS standards and guidelines

  • Creative problem solving in pioneering data management situations (e.g. integration, simulation, predictive modelling).
  • Demonstrating repeatability/generalizability and constant improvement in projects.
  • Developing & sharing best practices, work processes, system and tools, based on experience gained in a portfolio of independent projects.
  • Working effectively in a matrix organization and handle multiple reporting relationships and multiple responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent professional certification with appropriate experience
  • Minimum 10 years` experience
