ENOWA plans to utilize various technologies, including large-scale solar PV, wind power, pump hydro-station, geothermal energy, and clean-fuel gas turbines – as an integrated decentralized solution to meet the increased electricity demands due to a high degree of electrification. 

The candidate will work on projects involving these technologies and various execution strategies, with construction starting in August 2024 and continuing through 2030.

Expectations

The Technical Coordinator/Design Engineer will manage the civil engineering design and development phases of the Nestor Pumped Hydro Storage project. This role will ensure that all designs meet technical specifications and comply with relevant standards and regulations, contributing to the successful completion of the project.

Approach

  • Coordinate and oversee the development of civil engineering designs and drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards in design outputs.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to integrate civil designs with overall project objectives.
  • Manage technical documents and ensure all designs are up to date and accurately documented.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to ensure real-world alignment with civil designs.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams and resolve design-related issues on-site.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and processes for project efficiency.
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Supervise and mentor junior civil engineers and technical staff.
  • Review supplier and contractor submissions for compliance with project specifications.

Experience and Skills

  • Advanced degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong technical proficiency in civil design and engineering principles.
  • Excellent project management and coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard CAD software and engineering tools.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering design, focusing on infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in the design and oversight of large-scale construction projects, particularly involving hydropower or similar utilities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is preferred.
