Job Purpose:

 

To ensure effective and efficient planning, directing turnaround preparation activities in compliance to preparation milestones for assigned plant turnaround, control contracting services, invoice verification process and all in a cost effective and technically sound manner. Monitor preparation progress and resolve conflict of interest with stakeholders.

 

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  1. Study, prepare, review and announce Turbaround preparation milestones, charter,  premises and KPIs after management approval for assigned plant turnaround
  2. Determine cost estimate targets during the planning of turnaround shutdowns process, recommending cost effective solutions.
  3. Update and monitoring of turnaround budget preparation guidelines and review of budget with all concerned groups and take appropriate actions for control
  4. Compile job list received, review job scope as per the TA job list, scope challenge and coordinate with respective end users for any scope clarifications. Creation of PM06 work orders charging to TA WBS element for all TA jobs as per the final job list including general requirements
  5. Strategize & plan the required turnaround activities for the designated area, ensure all required resources and materials are ordered, schedule execution and ensure completion.
  6. Organize scope challenge meeting for finalization of job list.
  7. Review purchase requisition including scope of work, preferred vendors, estimation cost, budget allocation, and submit to manager for approval
  8. Analyze supplier quotes and provide information and data, which aids communications with suppliers and customers and achieves cost optimization. Ensure supplier quotations meet ‘should cost’ estimates
  9. Develop and prepare service, material report during the planning phase, update periodically, facilitate review of the status of service, materials required for turnaround,
  10. Coordination of turnaround preparation activities, update scheduling reports during execution and take necessary action for slippage recovery, critiques compilation, and close out of assigned plant turnaround. Attend TARA assessment and take correction and corrective actions as required.
  11. Assess cost effectiveness of turnaround and track actual costs relative to budget and report status on a regular basis to ensure costs are in line with forecasts Monitor and review data and information to detect or assess problems.
  12. Prepare cost and expenditure statements, reports and other necessary documentation at regular intervals to share with others in the business. Support all activities in cost estimating and take a proactive approach towards improvements.
  13. Carry out any other special tasks assigned by Management from time to time.

 

Requirements:  

 

Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

+7 years of Turnaround planning experience in the industry.
