Job Purpose

• Supervises the installation, maintenance, repair and testing of a wide range of mechanical stationary and rotating equipment in TRC. This includes monitoring of work execution, to ensure conformity to statutory and company regulations, adopting practices commensurate with Takreer HSE manual, dealing personally with more complex maintenance, participating in shutdown maintenance planning and execution activities and participates in the expansions/modifications of TRC facilities

Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)

Maintenance Activities:
• Assists in the preparation of predictive, preventive, modification and major maintenance activities, using equipment past performance and manufacturers data and supervises the execution of such programs. Prepares detailed equipment checklists for routine maintenance and the estimation of detailed manpower and skill requirements. Follows up on major maintenance work to keep abreast of conditions and to advise on spare part replacement, modifications or refurbishment. Reviews shutdown job lists and contract scopes. Participates in testing and start-up of equipment upon completion of work. Carries out more complex faultfinding, diagnosis and repair of equipment.
Troubleshooting:
• Provides guidance and advice on actions to be taken on chronic problems, and reviews requirement for major repair and spares replacements. Carries out troubleshooting of chronic failures and implements repair and test procedures. Ensures that all mechanical maintenance services are provided safely and efficiently in accordance with internationally recognized engineering standard.
Emergency Requirements:
• Co-ordinates the activities of contracted craftsmen in the plant with operations personnel and arranges shutdowns and necessary “permits to work”. Deals with emergency requirements immediately, allocating craftsmen, providing technical advice and checking work at various stages. Provides regular feedback to Pilot plant operations section and planning engineer on status of work undertaken. Liaises with other support disciplines and the workshop to co-ordinate multi-discipline work or machine shop requirement.
New Projects & Modifications:
• Provides engineering assistance to concerned personnel in the Mechanical design and specification of modifications or new equipment installations and projects. Technically reviews bids for the supply of the new equipment. Liaises with manufacturer’s representatives as required in the installation, commissioning and post commissioning periods, to discuss and rectify any equipment deficiency. Liaises with planning engineer to arrange for and follow up on physical testing and inspection of modification and/or new installations.
Requirements for Materials and Equipment:
• Reviews annual requirements for mechanical, electrical and instrumentation materials, spare parts and equipment, advises on stock levels and material descriptions, and provides suggestion for alternatives or inter- changeability of parts with other equipment in different company locations. Prepares purchase requisitions, contact scopes, bid evaluation and inspection of expensive/critical items. Prepares provisional and final acceptance certificates.
Contractors:
• Follows up on the work of maintenance contractors and provides field supervision over work execution. Includes reviewing contractor’s regular reports, assessing their performance and providing advice as necessary. Clears contractor’s invoices for payment.

• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices
Reports
• Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management

Minimum Qualification

B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• 6 years’ experience in the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of major rotating and mechanical equipment in an oil / gas / petrochemical or Power Plants.
Skills:
• Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable.
• Good Computer literate.
