 Job Summary:

As an Engineer 2 within the Ammunitions Department at Halcon, you will be responsible for contributing to defining the product specifications, design, development, testing, and production of ammunition products. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality, efficiency, and safety of ammunition systems manufactured by the company.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Participate in the design and development of ammunition products, including projectiles, warheads, fuzes, and other related components.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical analysis to assess the performance, reliability, and safety of ammunition systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to prototype, test, and validate ammunition designs.
  • Support the manufacturing process by providing technical guidance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to enhance production efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols in all phases of ammunition development and production.
  • Document design specifications, test procedures, and technical reports to maintain accurate records and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Assist in the evaluation of supplier components, materials, and technologies for integration into ammunition systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the field of ammunition engineering through continuous learning and professional development activities.

Experience & Education Qualifications:

  • Expertise:  Minimum of 3 years of experience in ammunition design, development, or production.
  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field, with proven experience on the subject.
  • Defense Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of ammunition systems, materials, manufacturing processes, and testing methodologies.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, LS-DYNA).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and quality.
