e)    To install, repair, maintain electrical system of the Medical Centre such as electrical panels, transformers, circuits, electrical appliances, and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.

g)    To maintain log books and maintenance cards.
h)    To look after the proper wiring within the Medical Centre.
i)    Responsible for the preventive maintenance of power and lighting distribution boards.
j)    Advise engineer on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
k)    Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
l)    Connect wires to circuit breakers, or other components.
m)    Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications.
n)    Determines when equipment is to be removed from service, allowed to remain in service or must be restored to service by applying an understanding of the Medical Centre needs as well as the operational and safety limitations of equipment.
o)    Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
p)    Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
q)    Maintains a positive, responsible attitude for the department activities as well as their own work.  Conducts everyday operations with minimal supervision or guidance.
r)    Maintains the work area in a neat, efficient and safe condition.  Cleans up after each job and properly stores items and/or test equipment.  Exhibits an awareness of safety requirements and practices in everyday tasks.
s)    Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies and equipment.
t)    Performs installation, repairs, modifications, and related work on various electrical systems and equipment using technical literature and test equipment.  Maintains an awareness of the sensitive and critical uses for the electrical systems being worked on and is fully responsible for insufficient or improper installation and/or repairs.  Performs scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance as well as operational testing and verification to specific standards.
u)    Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
v)    Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
w)    Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
x)    Participate in Medical Centre quality program and be member of quality committees if chosen
DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY
•    Work is carried out within general policies, principles and goals, and is subject to direction only for guidance on policy issues.

OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH MANAGEMENT:
•    Attending Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) programs as a mandatory requirement.
•    Being compliant with all OSH policies & procedures and legal requirements regarding Occupational Safety and Health Management System.
•    Conducting his/her task in a healthy and safe manner at all times.
•    Reporting any untoward events that will impact the occupational, safety & health of patients, staff, contractors, facilities, operations, etc.
•    Comply with the established NMCRMC OHSMS procedures of which they have been informed, instructed and trained.
•    Actively participate along with line management towards implementation of OHSMS requirements.
•    Report to the respective manager any potentially hazard, unsafe act or condition, which may cause EHS impacts.
•    Report all EHS hazard, near miss and incidents to the respective line manager.

INFECTION CONTROL:
•    All employees are personally accountable for their actions and are responsible for ensuring that they comply with infection prevention and control policies.
•    Health care workers are responsible for identifying infectious conditions that require specific controls to protect themselves and their patients. In addition, they are responsible for notifying the infection prevention.

Qualifications

Diploma in electrical engineering
Minimum 5-year experience electrical engineering
Driving experience, especially of the ambulance
English, Arabic, Hindi (knowledge of more languages is beneficial)
