Document Controller/Dispatch Specialist

DHL Global Forwarding Qatar has an opening for a Document Controller/Dispatch Specialist where you will receive, handle and transmit physical documents/files, complying with regulations and internal procedures as well as coordinate shipment papers and physical flow ensuring that customer requirements are met and takes corrective actions in case of deviations from customer requirements.  Join us now in connecting people and improving lives.

In this Document Controller/Dispatch Specialist position

• You will receive, handle and transmit physical documents from airlines/shipping lines or other 3rd parties adhering to regulations and internal procedures.
• You will receive Arrival Notice, Create the files in LOGIS/CW1, Responsible for Timestamps for both AIR/SEA.
• You will log all IC invoices related to Air/Sea freight shipments in LOGIS/CW1.
• You will retrieve and Upload documents through EDM.
• You will be creating Profiles for Customers in EDM.
• You will ensure customers are updated and notified of their shipments (handover).
• You will ensure all handover invoices are paid for and recorded/receipted.
• You will ensure documents and delivery orders are checked and collected daily.
• You will ensure that all discrepancies in documentations are handled immediately to avoid storages.
• You will ensure COD shipments payments are received before handover of documents.
• You will ensure that the AFR Motiv8 KPIs timestamps are updated daily.
• You will ensure all costs are captured and signed off.
• You will ensure proper documentation flow is well coordinated within the department.

• Good knowledge of imports/exports procedures and documents
• Minimum O’level qualification
• Knowledge of freight forwarding business
• Good administration skills
• Cooperative working with others to achieve targets and objectives.
• Responsibility and capacity to keep commitments.
• Compliance with the intent of policies, procedures, and agreements
