You can make your mark in the role of Crewing Administrator by assisting the crewing team with checking the personal documents & certificates of seafarers which are planned to sign-on a Boskalis vessel. The Seafarer needs to comply with the training matrix based on STCW requirements, Boskalis standard requirements & vessel type specific requirements. The BOFM (Boskalis Offshore Fleet Management) Fleet consists of about 35 Vessels with a crew composition of Boskalis & Agency crew. 

Your responsibilities as a crewing administrator

  • Checking crew on compliance in advance before a crewchange takes place, via the FMO 630-K - Seacrew report (Power BI). Extra focus on contracts: type, duration, rank, MLC amendments.
  • Assist crewing officers to inform agencies & crew to correct the findings in time to prevent deficiencies on board as outcome of port state checks and audits.
  • Extra compliance check when audits are planned, full vessel crew checks.
  • Check the seafarer profile after updating the compliance gaps, done by agency or compliance and/or crewing officer.
  • Random compliance checks are conducted per rank, vessel, or agency based on Seacrew reports, including the transfer of crew from former employees if they have not been hired for 6 months or longer.
  • Collecting necessary personal documents, such as visas, specific to visa type and country, filing them on SharePoint, uploading personal documents, maintaining visa request overviews per person/vessel, and preparing crew overview lists for visa requests.

Your qualities   

You can make your mark as a crewing administrator if you have:  

  • At least 3 years’ relevant work experience in crewing or equivalent.
  • A working and thinking level at a bachelor degree.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English, punctual, and possesses effective communication skills.
  • STCW knowledge preferable but can be learned on the job.

  • Your team:  You will work as a crewing administrator in the crewing team of Offshore Energy. The team has approximately 15 members.
  • Full/part-time job: The function of crewing administrator is a fulltime position.
